December 2008 - This past week marked a Landmark of Significant accomplishments. This Forum and the meetings that took place in Singapore with the President and head officials of their organizations provided an excellent exchange of information, project plans, action steps and a wealth of ideas. A series of meetings and collaborations took place following this, thus connecting us all more consciously and globally with the diverse traditional cultures and ethnic history of our "Pusaka," from East to West and North to South. Worldwide Silat is becoming well known and enjoyed for its Traditional and Competitive nature; along with its beautiful Arts "Seni" and Exotic Musical rhythms and Traditional Dance.
The Singapore Silat Federation invited Bapak Waleed and organized a presentation and event for his brief visit. The Founder and Director of the International Silat Federation of America and also now West Sumatra, Indonesia, Bapak Waleed was formally invited to visit and meet with the heads of departments and coaches as well as the head of administration, officials and staff members of the Singapore Silat Federation "PERSISI" www.persisi.org
